Youth Program

Welcome to Springfield Storm, 417 Lacrosse's Youth Lacrosse Team, where passion for lacrosse meets the spirit of teamwork! We are thrilled to introduce you to a dynamic and exciting youth lacrosse program designed specifically for students in grades 5-8.

 

At Springfield Storm, we believe in fostering not only exceptional lacrosse skills but also in nurturing the values of sportsmanship, leadership, and camaraderie.

Our Program

Our program is more than just a lacrosse experience; it's a journey that empowers young athletes to grow both on and off the field. We understand the unique developmental needs of students in grades 5-8 and have crafted a curriculum that caters to their skill levels while promoting a love for the game. Whether your child is a seasoned player or a newcomer to lacrosse, our dedicated coaching staff is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all.

At 417 Lacrosse, we emphasize skill development, tactical understanding, and physical fitness. Our coaching philosophy revolves around creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere where players can unleash their potential while building lasting friendships. We believe in the transformative power of sports and the invaluable life lessons that come with being part of a team

2024
Season Information

For Spring 2024 we will play in the OzMo Spring League in Northwest Arkansas.  The majority of games will be played will be played in Nortwest Arkansas with limited games in Joplin, MO and/or Springfield, MO.

Divisions

​

5th & 6th (U12) Division:

The U12 division uses 6x6 goals, in a 7v7 format including goalies. Long poles are not permitted in this division. This division will introduce offsides. These teams will practice twice per week for approximately one and half hours. 8 players minimum per team.

7th & 8th (U14) Division:

The U14 division uses 6x6 goals, in a 10v10 format including goalies and utilizing modified NFHS HS rules. A maximum of 4 long poles are permitted on the field at a time in this division. These teams will practice twice per for approximately 2 hours. A third practice is permitted at the coach's discretion. 11 players minimum per team.

REgistration Cost

​

Registration cost is $245 for both U12 and U14 age groups

Registration fees cover jerseys, field rentals, coaches, referees, and field equipment.

​

First Practice Permitted: March 1, 2024

Spring Break - No Lacrosse: March 18-22, 2024

First Game Day: March 9, 2024

Game make-up day: May 4, 2024

Last Possible Practice: May 9, 2024

End of season tournament: May 11-12, 2024
